We’ve aged our house porter in Speyside whiskey casks for 7 months. We then steeped 3Kg of Villa Maria, a funky, boozy, naturally processed Colombian coffee from Peckham distillery Old Spike roastery. We then bottle conditioned it for 3 months before release.
The barrel aging has amplified the coffee notes, whilst the subtle oak character from the barrel compliments the chocolate, malt biscuits, coffee and black treacle present on the palate in the base beer.
